COURSE ENROLLMENT
Eligibility
Full-time HKU students from years 1-3. Last year, students could only attend the course if they deferred their graduation date to the fall semester. Students from any faculty can apply to join the course, but preference will be given to students of the Business School.

Prerequisite
There is no prerequisite to attend this course; however, as part of the course structure, the admitted students will need to attend pre-departure seminars that will take place in late May.

Application & Selection
Students will have a chance to indicate their interest in the course by registering for one of the information sessions or group interviews. The invitation to join will be distributed via HKU mass email. These sessions typically take place late in the fall semester of the academic year in which the summer course takes place and early in the spring semester (e.g. for the summer course 2026, the info session would be held in the fall semester 2025 and group interviews in spring 2026).

Registration & Enrollment
Once students have indicated their interest as described above, they will obtain a link to register. Once the registration is filled out, students will be asked to settle a deposit as confirmation of their participation in the course. The spots in the course will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and enrollment will only be processed once the deposit has been settled and no other issues have been found that would prevent the students from enrollment. In case of a higher demand than spots available in the course, students may be placed on a waitlist and informed accordingly.
